An introduction of sorts

Shalom and welcome to my new blog,

I was waiting for just the perfect title for my blog but alas, I am not sure I will ever find it. So I am relying on the very sound and practical council and advice of my most loving sisters and titling it as they suggested (the URL that is). Thanks ladies. :)

I would like this blog to be a place of venting, self exploration, documentation, sharing, enlightenment, and at the end of the day a place to come to have a good laugh. One day I might also write in Hebrew on this blog, but for now I will stick with English, as it is the language I feel most comfortable and expressive in. In my short time in Israel I have already experienced many hysterical situations associated with language blunders, and it is my hope to share these here. I have also had several deeply frustrating moments, and I would like a place to vent those as well. I have also had a small smattering of (and hope to have many more) epiphanies, and these too I will share with my readers.

I intend this blog to targeted to my friends and family. Others may indulge in the mosaic of stories and topics here, but it will probably prove most enjoyable to those who know some integral things about the principal subject of the blog (myself.) In the case that someone unacquainted with myself or merely slightly acquainted with me is reading this blog, I will deliver a short introduction about myself below:

My name is Shira, I am a lover or words, music, and poetry. Additionally I enjoy spending time and sharing dialogue with family and friends, appreciating and dabbling in photography, and sustain the hope of one day becoming a DJ. Obviously I enjoy writing, hence the grave need I felt to begin an online journal (blog). I have just begun my twentieth year of living, and am a proud and very happy Jew. I moved to Israel this past summer, and hope to live the remainder of my days in the Holy Land.

In closing, I wish all readers a good morning, afternoon, or night (wherever they may be), and until next time, be well.
